T-SHIRT DESIGN
PURPOSE:
This event was developed to encourage communication of the participant’s faith and beliefs through the artistic media of T-Shirt design. Participants are limited only by their imagination. Entries should make a clear point and should visually represent the current year’s theme. This is not a team event.
PROCESS:
Each participant shall:
1. Enter no more than one entry.
2. Register the entry in the appropriate grade level.
3. Mail entries to the Event Director BY THE PRE-CONVENTION MARCH 1ST DEADLINE
4. Entries will be on display at the convention and may be picked up between 3:00-5:00 PM on Saturday.
The Event Director will:
1. Receive and be sure all entries are impartially judged.
2. With the team of judges, select the winning entry to be used for the year’s LTCNW Region T-Shirt.
3. Organize entries for judging and oversee convention display.
4. Report results and awards recommendations to the Pre-Convention Events Coordinator by deadline of April 1st
RULES:
1. Adult assistance shall be limited to advice and supervision.
2. The participant submitting an entry shall be the sole artist of that entry.
3. All entries must interpret the current year’s LTC theme.
4. Your T-shirt must be designed with black ink on white paper.
5. The dimensions must be no smaller than 8.5 X 11 inches and no larger than 11 X 17 inches, actual size for printing.
6. The design should be simple; small details should be avoided.
7. A cover page is required with your entry including: Participant’s Name, Grade, Name of The congregation, Church Coordinator’s name, phone number and email address, and any special suggestions for shirt color and lettering.
POINTS WILL BE DEDUCTED FOR NOT FOLLOWING TO THESE RULES
JUDGING: There will be three Judges. An award rating will be assigned based on the point average among the three Judges.
AWARDS:
• Gold = 5 points, Silver = 3 points, Bronze = 1 point
• An appropriately colored engraved plate for the individual’s award plaque will be given to each person receiving a Gold, Silver, or Bronze Rating.
